A single vehicle rollover accident Wednesday night claimed a life.

The accident happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday on State Route 78, east of Old Mine Road. A 79-year-old woman was driving a car eastbound on Highwayn78 when, for unknown reasons, the car drifted off the road and then rolled over. The driver, who was not properly restrained, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
