(A maritime smuggling attempt)....It was disrupted by Customs and Border Protection.

They located the 20 foot vessel last week, 26 miles off the shore of Solana Beach. CBP officers boarded the vessel and found six Mexican Nationals being smuggled into the United States. The vessel was seized and the six taken to a border patrol station for process. During the processing, one of the individuals was identified as Alejandro Arellano Mejia, who had served a 15 year sentence in the United States for murder, before he was deported back to Mexico. Arellano Mejia was placed under arrest charged with reentry after formal removal, which is a felony.
