Three Board of Supervisors. were elected in November. District 4 Supervisor Ryan Kelley was re-elected. Martha Cardenas Singh and Margarite Peggy Price filled two vacancies. The searing in was historic. Judge Poli Flores administered the oath of office. Cardenas Sigh and Price became the first females to serve on the board at the same time. Martha Cardenas Singh became the first Latina to ever serve on the board. Peggy Price became the first Pacific Islander to serve on the board. The two became the third and fourth females to serve on the Board since 1904. The Board of Supervisors Chambers was packed with people witnessing history. The Supervisors will choose a new Board Chairman and Vice Chairman in January.
