An early morning shooting in El Centro resulted in multiple gunshot wounds to a victim.

The shooting occurred at about !:00 a.m. Thursday morning at the Cinemark complex at the Imperial Valley Mall. El Centro Police say that the victim had been involved in an argument with another man inside the theater. After leaving the theater, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim multiple times. Police said that it was a targeted attack and not a random act of violence. The shooting remains under investigation as an attempted murder. Investigators are asking that anyone with any information contact the El Centro Police Department.
