San Diego State university Imperial Valley says that construction is on schedule for the Sciences and Engineering Laboratories.

The new facilities are on the Brawley campus. Construction remains on schedule and the facility is set to open in fall 2025. The project will expand sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics opportunities as they relate to anticipated economic development in the Lithium Valley. The building will house a STEM Innovation Hub for students and faculty to collaborate with one another, with the goal to establish and expand research opportunities. The program is designed to meet both current and future geothermal energy sector demands and deliver skilled professionals that are ready to join the workforce.
