The Imperial County Superintendent of Schools has been recognized by the California IT in Education (CITE) Association.

Dr. Todd Finnell was awarded the Associations Lifetime Achievement Award for his significant and lasting contributions to the field of education technology in California. Finnell, who is the President-Elect of the California County Superintendents, said, " I am deeply honored to receive this award and have been blessed to be surrounded by amazing people throughout my career. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the education community, and I am excited to continue working towards a brighter future for our students". As the recipient of the award, Dr. Finnell was inducted into the CITE Hall of Fame during their annual 2024 conference.
