(County Board of Supervisors hold a public hearing)....It was held earlier this week.

It was for the Vega 6 Solar Energy Storage Project. During the hearing the Supervisors approved several key resolutions. The Board approved the proposed project which consists of an 80 megawatt solar photovoltaic energy generation project with an integrated battery storage system not to exceed 160 megawatts. The construction of the project has the potential to create up to 250 jobs. The Board also approved a Public Benefit Agreement to provide concentrated and coordinated effort to maximize the benefits of the project to the Imperial County community.
