(IID Board makes it official today)....The Imperial Irrigation District Board of Directors are declaring October 6-12 as Public Power Week.

The IID is California's third largest public power utility. Thgey will be joining 2,000 other community-powered, not for profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to 54 million Americans across 49 states and 5 territories. In honor of the special week, IID will provide information about the district's residential programs and have available giveaway items and snacks for walk-in customers at its customer service centers. Starting on Monday October 7th in Brawley. On Tuesday in Imperial. On Wednesday in Calexico, on Thursday in El Centro. It will be from 8 am to noon in all locations. On Friday they will be in La Quinta from 9 am to 1 pm.
