(Another big seizure in the San Diego Sector).....It was the second bg Fentanyl seizure in 2 weeks.
Border Patrol Agents from the San Clemente Border Patrol Station participated in the seizure late last week. Agents stopped a suspicious vehicle on I-5. A Border Patrol K-9 Team alerted to the vehicle. Agents searched the trunk of the vehicle. They found 40 cellophane wrapped packages in plastic trash bags. The packages, vehicle and the driver of the vehicle were taken to a nearby Border Patrol Station. The packages contained blue pills that tested positive for Fentanyl. They weighed a total of 105 pounds. The driver, a US Citizen and the narcotics were turned over to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The Border Patrol seized the vehicle. In 2 weeks, the San Diego Sector agents seized around 2,800 pounds of fentanyl.
