(CBP seizes almost 400 pounds of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine)....It happened in two separate incidents.
Customs and Border Protection says the first incident recently occurred after a 71 year old man was encountered driving a GMC SUV. The driver, a US citizen, was sent to secondary inspection.. A CBP K-9 alerted to the vehicle. a search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 30 packages in the quarter panels. The Packages contained 71 pounds of fentynal powder and 20 pounds of meth. In the second incident a 56 year old Mexican Citizen was driving a Ford Cargo Van. He was stopped at the port by CBP officers. The van was carrying cement tabletops.. Inside the load, officers found 19 packages containing 180 pounds of fentanyl and more than 110 pounds of meth. The narcotics were seized. The drivers were turned over to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security investigations
