The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Monday evening.

The accident was reported at about 8:15 p.m. Monday in the area of S. Somerton Avenue and West County 9th Street. The initial investigation shows that a Nissan Altima that was northbound on Somerton Avenue attempted to pass another northbound vehicle. As the car went to return to the northbound lane it went out of control and veered into an agricultural field, rolling several times. The driver, 53-year-old Benito Macias Bravo, of Tuma, was ejected from the car and died of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
