(Heat Related Illness Update)....It was released by the County Public Health Department.
According to the update, there have now been 3 heat related deaths in Imperial County. So far, there have been 6 cases of heat stroke, 40 incidents of heat exhaustion and 21 cases of heat fatigue or dehydration. Information for the update is provided by El Centro Regional Medical Center, Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District and the Imperial County Coroner's Office. The Health Department reminds residents that exposure to excessive heat can cause serious health problems and even death. Know where the Cool Centers and Hydration Stations are located. Stay hydrated. Stay indoors as much as possible.
