There are businesses and local governments that will celebrate a four day weekend. Thousands will converge on the recreational sand dune areas of Imperial County for the 4 day weekend. Public pools will be open to the public in Calexico and Holtville. Brawley has a splash pad. The El Centro Aquatic Center will host a pool party Thursday afternoon. Admission is free. A Fireworks Spectacular is being hosted by the Calipatria Foundation late Thursday afternoon. It starts at 4 pm with the Battle for the Hydrant Water Polo Challenge. There will be a car show, hot dog eating contest, an ice cream eating contest and a lot more. The Spectacular Fireworks show starts at 9 pm. Activities will be at Rademacher Park, with the Fireworks at Cliff Hatfield Airport. Music will be provided by Premier Sondz
