(Imperial Valley College is now the Desert Warriors)....The Imperial Valley College Board of Trustees unanimously approve the change.

The move came at this week's board meeting. The process to replace Arabs as the mascot began in 2019. Arabs was deemed inconsistent with the school's values. The Mascot Identity Task Force was formed. After years of contests and meetings, they recommended Desert Warriors as the preferred Mascot for the school. The Board of Trustees agreed.
