The City of Calexico is accepting applications for two open seats on the city council.

The seats became vacant with the recent recall of Councilmembers Raul Urena and Gilberto Manzanares. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, reside within the city limits of Calexico, and be registered to vote in the City of Calexico at the time the application is received. The application is available on the City's website or at the City Clerks office. Deadline for applications is 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024. The appointment will be made at a special City Council meeting. The term of the Council seat is from the date of appointment  to December 2024.
