A traffic accident Tuesday resulted in major injuries to an individual.

The accident was reported at 1:30 p.m. on northbound State Route 86 at Keystone Road. a woman reported that her vehicle was struck from behind while at the traffic light at the intersection. One lane of the highway was blocked because of the accident. One individual was flown to an out-of-county hospital for treatment of major injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
