Imperial County Sheriff's deputies rescued a pair of stranded motorists Sunday.

At about 4:45 p.m. Sunday the Imperial County Sheriff's Office Off-Highway Vehicle Enforcement Safety Team responded to the area of the Palo Verde Mountain Wilderness Area looking for the stranded motorists. The pair had apparently been stranded for seven hours with no cellphone service and limited water. ICSO deputies were able to locate the two and they were taken to Brawley where they were able to contact family members. The two were in good physical condition.
