(IID to host Earth Day Celebrations).....Earth Day is April 20th.

The theme this year will be Planet Versus Plastics. The event will be free to attend. It will be held at IV Expo Plaza De La Cultura in Imperial. There will be a special appearance by Lineman Dippy. The South Parking Lot will be open for the public. The celebration will include free hot dogs and chips. Free snow cones from 12 to 1 pm, home gardening and composting, recycling, music, IID information booths, a coloring activity station, and more. Participating businesses and organizations include Calipatria 4-h, CR&R Waste Disposal, Republic Services, Vincent Zazueta Home Gardening, Imperial Valley Resource Management Agency, Synergy Company, and UC Master Gardeners. The event will run from 10 am to 2 pm
