A woman is in jail following a Saturday morning jaunt through the streets of El Centro.

At about 10:15 Saturday morning El Centro Dispatch Center received a call about a white Ford Explorer driving recklessly into oncoming traffic in the area of Dogwood and Interstate 8. The person reporting the driver followed the vehicle through a number of streets on the city's Southside. At one point, the errant driver stopped and got out the the SUV and ran towards the person following her before getting back in the vehicle and continuing to drive erratically. El Centro Police were able to stop her in the area of 4th and Ross. The driver was then arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of Driving Under the Influence.
