A small earthquake jolted the Imperial Valley Fridy afternoon.

The magnitude 3.1 temblor was recorded at 12:13 p.m. with an epicenter 1 mile WNW of Heber. Residents reported that they heard the earthquake and then felt a sharp jolt. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
