(Fire in Salton City turns out to be deadly)....County Fire responded to the report of a fire last week.

Before arriving at the scene, they were informed it was a structure fire. Another crew with County Fire was called in, as well as assistance from Brawley and Calipatria Fire Departments, along with the County Sheriff's Office, Imperial Irrigation District and the Coachella Valley Water District. They all converged on the fire near Seaview Drive and Lansing Avenue. As the fire was being extinguished, crews discovered a deceased person and the body of a dead dog. An ivestigation continues to determine how the deaths occured, as well as an investigation into the cause of the fire.
