The Imperial County transit strike has ended.

Beginning Thursday, May 11, 2023, all transit services are operating under regular operating schedules. First Transit/Transdev. the third-party operator of bus and paratransit services in Imperial County has reached an agreement with Teamsters Local 542 to end the strike. Imperial County Transit said that they will continue to provide free fares for almost all services until further notice.
