A Brawley man is in custody in connection with two attempted murders in Brawley.

The suspect, 20-year-old Isaac Elizondo, was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when officers went to the 100 block of G Street after reports of a man brandishing a handgun. Officers were able to determine that Elizondo had pointed a handgun at an individual. The victim told officers that the suspect was in a house at the scene of the crime. Police were able to take Elizondo into custody and recovered a handgun that the suspect had been seen placing on the ground outside a rear bedroom window. After conducting interviews and examining evidence it was determined that Elizondo was responsible for a shooting on March 6, 2023, when he shot at two men in the South Alley of the 100 block of Main Street. One victim sustained a minor injury. Another incident was reported on March 24, 2023, when a man was shot in the chest in the 1600 block of C Street. The victim survived. During the course of that investigation Elizondo was found to be a potential suspect. Elizondo was booked into Imperial County Jail on two counts of Attempted Murder and Criminal Threats. He is being held on $1 million bail.
