(Little information on transit strike)......An employee at IV Transit confirmed a strike was called Tuesday morning.

The woman said IV Transit was operating under the Saturday schedule. She would give no other details. Teamsters Local 542 has been in negotiations with the Imperial County Transportation Commission. The Union announced Monday a strike Tuesday was possible. The person who answered the phone at IV Transit confirmed the strike was on, but that was the only information should would release, other than to say they were operating under the Saturday schedule. The Union has not released  any information. It is suggested IV TRansit customers call the transit service for information on what is available and what is not.
