An Imperial County Sheriff's deputy made a traffic stop and two people ended up in jail.

The vehicle check was made on Interstate 8 and Orchard Road Friday. The driver of the vehicle gave consent for a search of the vehicle. The search led to a small quantity of methamphetamine, two meth pipes, and multiple stolen ID cards and personal checks. It was also discovered that the passenger had multiple warrants as well as a parole hold. Both the passenger and the driver had holds for pending charges from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. The suspects were detained and then turned over to Riverside County deputies. Additional charges were also filed by Imperial County deputies.
