A late-night traffic stop in El Centro ended with a driver arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

At about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, an El Centro police officer on patrol stopped a car at 5th and Heil for failure to stop at a stop sign. A Field Sobriety Test was administered, and the 31-year-old  driver was arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of Driving Under the Influence.
