Police responded to the area of 4th and Southwind in El Centro at about 2:24 a.m. Wednesday.

Three vehicles were involved in the accident and the driver of one of the cars fled the scene of the accident. According to witnesses, a silver Camaro apparently struck one vehicle and then collided with a parked car. The Camaro was left in a nearby fast-food restaurant and two people, a man and a woman, were seen running away from the car. Investigating officers are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby residents and businesses.
