(Mardi Gras in El Centro this week)....The Celebration starts Thursday.

Mardi Gras King Chuck Fisher and Queen Carol Fisher will host the King and Queen Coronation celebration. That will be held Thursday at the City Hall in El Centro. On Saturday it will be the Mardi Gras Light Parade and Street Festival. The Festival on Main Street begins at 5:00 pm. The Light Parade begins at 6:00 pm, starting at 8th Street and ending at 11th and Main Streets. The Mardi Gras King and Queen will ride in the final float in the Parade. The Street Festival will include several vendors, a music concert, dancing and a beer garden. The event is hosted by the City of El Centro, Imperial Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Los Vigilantes
