( The Calipatria Chamber of Commerce is raising funds)....They want to pay for an Independence Day Fireworks Show.

Their goal is to raise $35,000. They recently announced they had raised enough for the Pyrotechnic depost. This week the County Board of Supervisors gave the fundraising effort a boost by agreeing to donate $2,000 to the Chamber. At the same meeting, the Supervisors agreed to donate $1,000 to San Diego State University/Imperial Valley's 1st Annual 5K Run as One Color Run event.
