Yuma County Sheriff's Office is investigating an attempted homicide.

At about 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to the area of the 3300 block of W. 5th Street. On arrival deputies found a 21-year-old man who had an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center and then flown to a Phoenix trauma center. YCSO is asking that anyone who has any information contact them.
