That is down from 398 cases reported earlier in the week. The COVID 19 Tier Metrics for Imperial County indicate new cases per day per 100,000 population is at 18.10, with a positivity rate of 15.6%. Deaths attributed to the virus are still at 960. A surge in COVID is a possibility according to health officials. The surge could hit after the Holiday weekend. They recommend getting the COVID booster if you have not already done so.
