The California Highway Patrol was busy with several early Wednesday morning accidents.
Shortly after 4:00 a.m. two semi-tractor trailer rigs collided on eastbound Interstate 8 near the Ogilby Road offramp. One lane of the freeway was partially blocked for a short time. There were no injuries.
At about 5:00 a.m. a car ran off the road in the same area. The vehicle ended up on it's side in a roadside ditch. No one was injured.
At about 5:35 a.m. two big rigs were involved in an accident at Highways 78 and 111. One of the rigs ended up on it's side. A Hazardous Materials crew was called in to cleanup oil that spilled from one of the big rigs. The CHP reported that two other accidents occurred in the same area as cleanup crews were working. There were no injuries in any of the accidents.
