(El Centro names new Library Director)....The selection was announced Thursday.

Isabella Marques de Castillo was named the new Director to the new El Centro Library. The appointment was effective immediately. She will lead the newly opened library and support its mission of providing quality materials and programs to meet the El Centro community's educational, informational, cultural and recreational needs. The new director was born in Honduras and raised in Spain and is fluent in English, Spanish and German and she is proficient in Italian. Her experience includes working in various roles for the Library of Congress in Washington D.C., and the Institute of Technology Library. She received her master's degree in Library and Information Science from Catholic University of America, and her bachelor's degree in History from the University of Maryland University College.
