(Health Officials recommend vaccinations)....Both Flu and COVID 19 vaccinations.

The officials are predicting a strong Flu Season and they are recommending residents, especially the elderly or infirmed to get a flu vaccine as soon as possible. That ius mainly because it takes about two weeks for the vaccine to be at full strength. The health officials are also predicting a surge in COVID 19 cases during the Holiday season. They say it is possible to get both vaccinations at the same time. There is a vaccination clinic scheduled for next week in El Centro. It is the El Centro Elementary School District's Flu and COVID 19 vaccination clinic It will be held at the Wilson Jr High School Gymnasium on Thursday December 8 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The Flu vaccine is for 6 months and older. The COVID vaccine is for 5 years of age and older. There will be a small fee for the flu vaccine. The COVID vaccine is free. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can pre-register online atmyturn.ca.gov.
