An early snowfall was reported in the Laguna Mountains.

According to the National Weather Service, precipitation from a weather system moving through Southern California left a blanket of snow at Mt. Laguna in San Diego County. Temperatures dropped into the 20's overnight and were expected to peak in the mid-30's Thursday. The conditions were right for the first snowfall of the season. Don't expect to build a snowman as the total accumulation of about 2 inches disappeared rapidly. Temperatures for the upper elevations of the mountains will increase through the weekend and there is no more precipitation in the forecast until next week.
