El Centro Police received a report of another scam.

According to police, a man reported that he had lost $350 in a Facebook scam. He told officers that he sent the money through the Zelle App to his cousin, but it wasn't his cousin. The man said that he learned that his cousins Facebook was hacked and that someone was contacting people on the friends list asking for money. The scammer told people that his number had changed and that he needed money to pay a debt he owed. The victim also told police that the cousin's brother had also been scammed and lost $400 in the ruse.
