(A US Citizen arrested)....The incident occured at just before 6:30 Sunday evening.

El Centro Border Patrol station's remote video surveillance system operators notified agents of a possible cloned Border Patrol Chevrolet Tahoe traveling north near exit 6 and driving eastbound on Highway 98. Agents responded and attempted to stop the cloned vehicle, but it continued to travel down the highway. Agents down the highway were notified and the successfully deployed a Controlled Tire Deflation Device, which slowed the vehicle to a complete stop near Mount Signal Road and Highway 98. The driver fled on foot, but was later found hiding in the brush. The agents inspected the suspect vehicle and  confirmed it was a cloned vehicle. The driver, an 18 year old US citizen was determined to be the sole occupant. He was arrested. He was transported to the El Centro Station and the vehicle was seized.
