MANA de Imperial valley has selected three honorees for the Las Primeras Awards.

MANA de Imperial Valley  works  to empower Latinas through leadership development, community service and advocacy. Each year MANA honorers Latina women who embody the values and philosophy of he organization. This year MANA will honor three women, Frances Terrazas, Terri Rogers and Jaqueline Riddell. 

Frances Terrazas is a retired school psychologist who also served as Director of Special Education at Brawley Union High School. She currently serves as a Trustee on the El Centro Elementary School District Board.

Terri Rogers has served on the Imperial Valley Regional Occupational Program Community Foundation and is a past-president of the El Centro Chamber of Commerce and is a strong advocate for the business community.

Jaqueline Riddell is Founder and CEO of Best S.T.E.P. Forward, a local non-profit dedicated to providing inclusive opportunities for the special needs community. 

The three will be recognized at the Las Primeras Awards Gala and Scholarship Fundraiser on Friday, October 21, 2022. The event will be held at the Old Eucalyptus Schoolhouse.
