Brawley and Calexico happy with Perez

(Chambers of Commerce praise Assemblyman Perez)…The Chambers in Calexico and Brawley have both issued press releases.

 Both praise Assemblyman Manuel Perez for his leadership and standing up for Job Creation. Perez recently voted against Assembly Bill 1278, a bill they say would have punished businesses seeking to relocate within an Enterprise Zone, and there fore diminishing California’s ability to attract and retain jobs. The two Enterprise Zones in Imperial County are located in or near both Calexico and Brawley. The bill failed in the Assembly Jobs Committee, a committee chaired by Assemblyman Perez. Perez represents the 80^th Assembly District which includes parts of the Coachella Valley and all of the Imperial County.
