(IID accepts MOU)….The Memorandum of Understanding is for the New River Projects.
The Imperial Irrigation District Directors discussed the MOU at their meeting this week. They voted to approve the document. According to the MOU, the County, The City of Calexico and the IID agree to pay $50,000 each for 20 years to cover the maintenance of the New River Projects completed. It does not go into effect until all three entities approve the MOU. The approval also frees the state to move forward with issuing a contract for the request for quotation and spending the $1.4 million already approved for phase one of the project.
