(Ballot just about set for November)…County Elections says they have the list of qualified candidates.
The November 5th Consolidated Election will feature several School and Special Districts on the County ballot. The Cities of Brawley, Calipatria and El Centro will hold City Council elections, as well. Brawley voters will decide two City Council seats. The candidates include incumbents Miguel Miranda and Sam Couchman. They will be challenged by Helen Noriega. El Centro will also be filling two Council Seats. Since Ben Soloman announced he would not be seeking re-election, there is only one incumbent on the Ballot. Cheryl Viegas-Walker filed for re-election. Also on the ballot are candidates Alex Cardenas and Tomas Oliva. Calipatria is also voting on City Council seats, but nobody was available at City Hall with a list of candidates.
