(The windmills will start turning again)….It could be as early as this week.
The turbines at the Ocotillo Wind Farm were stopped in May, after one of the blades fell off one of the turbines. Siemens, who manufacture the blades, said the same thing had happened at another wind farm. They asked that Pattern stop all their turbines until the problem could be found. That investigation ended in June after it was determined the problem was in how some of the blades were bonded to the turbine. They say 7 blades will be replaced in Ocotillo. The rest of the turbines will begin turning this week. All the turbines should be operational by the end of July.
