(30 year old found dead in the Desert)…The death may have been heat related.
Border Patrol agents were tracking a group of illegal entrants into the United States Friday. The agents had followed the group to an area South/east of Dunaway Road and Interstate 8. As temperatures reached 110 and above, the group apparently left a couple people behind. One man was located and transported to a local hospital. His injuries and or illness was described as not life threatening. Later that afternoon an air unit spotted another person in the Desert. That person was pronounced dead at the scene. Chief Deputy Coroner Sergeant Thomas Garcia Said an autopsy will be performed to determine a cause of death. Garcia said the victim’s identity would not be released until the man’s family is notified. The Sergeant said the victim was a 30-year-old male from Mexico.
