Long closed session offers no decisions

(County Supervisors spend almost two hours in closed session)….The Board convened their Tuesday meeting an hour early.

This was to allow them to go into closed session and discussion litigation issues. The two main issues were; the Quantification Settlement Agreement coordinated cases, and litigation filed against the Interim Registrar of Voters Debra Porter. Going in to closed session, County Council Michael Rood said the QSA issue was primarily the question of filing an appeal to the recent decision by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Connelly to validate the QSA. He said a preliminary judgment on legal fees the case would probably also be brought up. When the Board emerged from the closed session, Rood said no decisions had been reached. The attorney would not detail the litigation against the interim registrar of voters, but he did say there was no decision on that issue, as well.
