(The project has been 15 years in the planning)….This week, ground was finally broken.
The project is Holtville.s Sewer Outfall Main Project. It replaces 85-year-old piping, that has caused manholes to collapse and other problems in the city. The $7.4 million project will benefit almost 2,000 families in and around the city of Holtville. The project is funded through grant subsidies and is a partnership between the City, US Department of Agriculture Rural Development Office, The Border Environmental Cooperation Commission and the North American Development Bank.
