IID Directors to discuss their incentive offer)….The Imperial Irrigation District Board meets Tuesday.
The Board is scheduled to discuss the offer the District has offered National Beef. The IID, The County and the City of Brawley made individual incentive offers to try and convince National Beef not to close the doors on their Brawley facility. The District’s offer was $2.5 million in Energy rate reductions. The County offered $3 million in Ag Benefits funds, and Brawley offered over $700,000 in water/waste water rate reductions. It was made clear each entity would have to be approved their offers before they became final. Tuesday the IID Board will discuss approval of their offer. Also Tuesday, the IID Directors will discuss a resolution in regards to the composition of the Agricultural Water Distribution Board. The IID Board meeting is open to the public at 1:00 Tuesday afternoon. The meeting will be held in Condit Auditorium on Broadway in El Centro.
