(Two service clubs volunteer to ring in the Christmas Season, literally)…It starts this weekend.
12 members of the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs have volunteered to ring bells and collect donations for the Salvation Army. They will begin Saturday at the Von’s stores in Brawley and El Centro. They will participate as long as the season lasts. One of the first to volunteer was 97 year old Bill Dubois, a past Salvation Army Community Chairman. The Salvation Army says in addition to the 12 Service Club volunteers, there will be 20 kettle workers outside stores around the Valley until December 24th asking for donations to assist the less fortunate.
