(County agrees to EMS Task Force)…Robin Hodgkin went before the County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.
Hodgkin is the Director of the Public Health Department. She told the Board the need for a review of the County EMS Plan is needed. She and Cedric Cesena, County EMS Director, said the idea came during the recent strike against Gold Cross Ambulance Service. They said the County plan was executed perfectly during the strike, and along with Gold Cross management, service actually improved during the strike. But they said Standards, continuity of the EMS System and opportunities change. Hodgkin said a large task force would include all the stakeholders in the Emergency Medical Services plan should be appointed, and a smaller group would be appointed to serve as a type of steering committee. The Supervisors approved the request on a 5-0 vote.
