High School Football Preview - Mayor's Trophy

The Mayors Trophy is on the line this week as Southwest High Schools Eagles host the Central Union High School Spartans in the KXO  AM1230 featured game. It's neighbor against neighbor...cousin against cousin...Pop Warner and Little League team mates playing against each other AND it's the first Imperial Valley League game of the season for both teams.

Border Patrol - Snare Murderer Within Group of Illegal Aliens

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Border Patrol Agents apprehended a group of illegal aliens from Mexico in the desert east of Calexico Monday and, after processing, discovered that one of the men was wanted for murder in the State of California 36 year old Oscar Ramon Gaxiola was a fugitive who had been hiding in Mexico.

CHP - Press Conference Sheds Little Light on Saturday's Shooting

Few new details about an early Saturday morning shooting came out of a  press conference that was held by the California Highway Patrol Tuesday  afternoon. The shooting occurred after Highway Patrol Officers responded to the area  of  Imler Road west of Forrester Road near Seeley.

AWC Football - Matadors Hit NJCAA Top 20

Yuma, Arizona – October 10, 2006 -- Arizona Western College is proud to announce that for the first time in just over two years, the Matadors’ football team is ranked in the NJCAA Top 20 Football Poll this week, and two Matador football players were named as WSFL Players of the Week.  The announcements come on the heels of the Matadors’ impressive win over Eastern Arizona College this past Saturday night in the first-ever AG Classic.

Imperial County Health Department - Flu Shots All Around
