(An inmate collapses and dies Sunday at the Centinnela State Prison)…. Prison officials say the 41 year old man was apparently playing racquet ball at around 10:30 Sunday when he apparently collapsed.

Centinnela Prison Stops Two Seperate Drug Smuggling Efforts

(Women were arrested over the weekend trying to sneak drugs into a State Prison)…Dee Long, spokesperson for the Centinnela State Prison said the separate incidents were the result of investigations, and search warrants had been obtained before the women arrived at the facility.

(Imperial County turns 100 in August, but there will be celebrations all year long)….The Centennial Celebrations will be outlined at a special reception for the County Board of Supervisors. The reception will be held following the Boards reorganization at six tonight at the County Administration center.

(It may cost the IID a bit more than expected to audit the Green Path Project)....The Imperial Irrigation District sought bids to audit the Green Path Project before deciding to proceed with any major funding. The bids all came back above what the District had anticipated spending.
